About the National Certification Exams
All three programs prepare you for the PTCE (Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam) administered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the ExCPT (Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians) administered by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). Upon completing any program and earning your Certificate of Completion, you will be eligible to register for and take either national certification exam.
Certified Pharmacy Technicians (CPhT) work in retail pharmacies, hospitals, long-term care facilities, mail-order pharmacies, and compounding pharmacies. National certification demonstrates your competency to employers and is required or preferred in most states, significantly improving your employment prospects and earning potential.
